The quote prices what you approved on the mockup. Anything outside it is discussed before any work starts.

React Native shares most of the code between both systems: one app to maintain, not two.

What a mobile app costs in Switzerland
Few studios publish their prices. Those that do, checked on 9 October 2026, give wide ranges:
- A simple app with a clear scope: from CHF 10,000 according to devedis (Bern), CHF 25,000 to 45,000 for a first version according to Studio Dahu.
- A business app, connected to other tools with a dashboard: CHF 30,000 to 70,000 according to devedis, CHF 45,000 to 90,000 according to Studio Dahu.
- A complex platform, real-time or bank-grade security: above CHF 90,000 to 100,000.
Swiss Tomato counts in hours rather than francs: 300 to 1,000 hours depending on complexity. All three agree on three to six months for a first version.
What moves the price: the number of screens, user accounts, payments, notifications, connections to your tools (calendar, till, business software), the back office, and the number of languages.
What costs every year: Apple’s developer membership (99 US dollars, Apple), hosting the back office, and the upkeep new iOS and Android versions require. The studios above put it at 5 to 10 % (devedis) and 15 to 20 % (Studio Dahu) of the initial cost, per year. Google only charges a one-time 25 US dollar registration (Google).

Native, cross-platform or web: the right choice for your use
- Cross-platform (React Native): one codebase for iPhone and Android. Our default for a booking, loyalty or field-service app, or a business tool.
- Native (Swift, Kotlin): when the app pushes the phone hard, live video, Bluetooth, augmented reality, or when your team already maintains native code.
- Installable web app: no store needed. On iPhone it can send notifications since iOS 16.4 once added to the home screen (WebKit). Often enough for a simple internal tool.
