An iOS and Android app that stages a fake live stream: the camera films, and a fully simulated audience comments, sends gifts and pushes the view counter up. Designed and built by Voren.
What it is
A mobile app that reproduces the experience of going live on social media, with scrolling comments, animated gifts and a view counter that takes off, except the audience is entirely generated. You launch it to prank a friend, or to rehearse before going live for real.
What the project demanded
The app is written in React Native, one codebase for iOS and Android. The hard part is keeping the pace: a simulated audience has to produce dozens of events per second (messages, gifts, arrivals) on top of a camera feed, without the image stuttering or the phone heating up.
Add to that in-app purchases, animations and speech synthesis for the alerts.
Why it is here
It stays off the stores for now. It sits in this portfolio because it shows the mobile work itself: designing the app, building it, running it on iOS and on Android. The same chain serves a booking tool, a loyalty card or a business app.
