A website in Geneva costs from 700 francs to more than 12,000 in 2026. A single page and a complete agency website, with several languages and follow-up after launch, sit at the two ends of the scale; other offers are rented by the year, from 490 francs. On 27 October 2026, we recorded the prices that eight providers display for a website in Geneva, along with the ranges given by four price guides from 2026.

Prices displayed in Geneva in October 2026

Eight providers that sell websites in Geneva publish a price online. Six of them sell the site once and for all, one with an optional subscription; the other two only display a yearly or monthly price. Their names stay out of this survey, which keeps the orders of magnitude.

What you buyPrices displayed
One page or a small site, up to three pagesfrom 700 to 1,000 francs
A site of five to ten pagesfrom 1,950 to 2,400 francs
A fuller agency plan: SEO, follow-up, several languagesfrom 3,000 to 6,300 francs, and 12,200 francs excluding VAT for the broadest
An online storefrom 2,950 to 4,400 francs at the two providers that sell it as a package; one agency adds it to its plans from 1,990 francs
A website paid by the year or by the monthfrom 490 to 1,490 francs a year, or 400 francs to get started, then 25 to 89 francs a month

The displayed amount rarely tells the whole story. One agency states that all its rates exclude VAT: 8.1% VAT is added to the invoice, which comes to 510 francs more on its 6,300-franc plan. Another charges 200 francs for each added page. A third provider’s entry offer includes the domain and hosting for twelve months. Before comparing two prices, check that both include VAT. Then ask what you pay afterwards, and who owns the site if the subscription stops.

The guides take a wider view. The most detailed one, published in April by a Geneva agency, counts 3,000 to 12,000 francs for a business website of five to eight pages. An online store costs 8,000 to 30,000 francs in that guide, and a platform with a members’ area or booking from 15,000 to more than 50,000 francs.

What makes the price vary in Geneva

The number of pages, and who writes them. A page that presents your trade, with a contact form, goes live in two weeks. Fifteen written pages, with a blog and a Google Business Profile set up, take a month. Two of the offers recorded build in the copy you supply: the writing, which is the longest part of the work, is then left to you.

English. In Geneva, 31.2% of working residents of the canton speak English at work (OCSTAT, 2020 to 2024 average). A medical practice in Champel that sees English-speaking patients, or a fiduciary firm that advises expatriate executives, needs complete English pages, with their own titles and their own keywords. Two guides published this year count 3,500 to 9,800 francs for a bilingual French-English business website. At the two providers that display the price, an added language costs 500 to 1,390 francs, and the cheaper one asks you to supply the translation.

Neighbouring France. In the second quarter of 2026, 118,067 cross-border workers were employed in the canton (OCSTAT), and 99.5% of the cross-border workers counted at the end of 2025 lived in France. A site that also targets these customers shows its prices in francs, and in euros if it sells across the border. Its store offers card payment, Apple Pay or Google Pay alongside TWINT, which only pays in francs, from a Swiss account. Its legal pages follow the European GDPR on top of the Swiss data protection act. Each of these points has a cost: ask for it to appear in the quote.

The online store. The price follows the size of the catalogue, then the way you take payment and deliver. A wine estate in Satigny that sells twenty wines, with TWINT and collection at the estate, has different needs from a delicatessen in Carouge that also delivers to Annemasse and takes payment from customers in euros.

The provider’s address. Geneva rents and salaries find their way into quotes. A Lausanne agency puts a figure on the gap with Lausanne, for the same specification: 15 to 25%. A quote from outside the canton therefore usefully completes the comparison.

What you pay every year

Two lines come back every year, whatever the provider: hosting and the domain name usually cost CHF 50 to 190 a year in total. You pay them directly to the provider of your choice, in your name. When an offer includes them for the first year, ask what they cost from the second.

Maintenance is optional. You pay it monthly if you would rather not deal with it yourself, and you compare it on what it covers. One Geneva provider charges from 95 francs a month for technical maintenance, and from 190 francs with follow-up of the Google Business Profile and SEO.

At the provider that rents out its sites, the subscription comes back every year: 490 to 1,490 francs depending on the number of pages. Before signing a subscription, check who owns the site and the domain name: when the subscription carries them, stopping it can make you lose both.

Agency, freelancer or template site

The price of the same business website depends first on who builds it: a guide devoted to Geneva prices places it between 490 francs a year and 8,000 francs paid once. The 2026 guides give these benchmarks:

  • A site you build yourself on a platform: 15 to 50 francs a month, according to a Geneva developer’s guide. The site lives as long as the subscription runs.
  • A freelancer: 1,000 to 5,000 francs per project, according to the same guide. Ask who will take the site over if they stop working.
  • A Geneva agency: 3,000 to 12,000 francs for a business website of five to eight pages according to the most detailed guide, 5,000 to more than 20,000 francs according to another. A team follows the project before and after launch, and its structure shows in the price.
  • A platform with a customer area: 15,000 to more than 50,000 francs, according to the most detailed Geneva guide.

To compare two quotes, ask each provider the same questions: how many pages, who writes the copy, how many languages, whether VAT is included, and who will own the site and the domain name.

French and English therefore both fit within the business website range, from the One page up. A single point of contact designs and delivers your site, from the quote to the launch. Voren works in Saint-Gingolph: we come to Geneva to go through the mockup of your homepage with you, and the rest of the project runs by video call, in French or in English. The quote arrives within one business day, with the free mockup of your homepage. The price it sets stays the same up to the invoice.

Fuller agency plans range from 3,000 to 6,300 francs, and up to 12,200 francs excluding VAT. At Voren, a business website costs CHF 590 to 1,490, from one to fifteen pages, in two or three languages.

Do I need an English website in Geneva?

Yes, as soon as some of your customers live or work in English. In Geneva, 31.2% of working residents of the canton speak English at work, according to OCSTAT. An English-speaking visitor searches in their own language, and Google first shows them pages written in English: you therefore need complete English pages, with their own titles and their own keywords. Two 2026 guides count 3,500 to 9,800 francs for a bilingual business website. At Voren, the business website includes two languages from the One page, and three with the Essential plan.

Why does a website cost more in Geneva?

Geneva rents and salaries find their way into the quotes of the canton’s agencies. A Lausanne agency estimates the gap with Lausanne, for the same specification, at 15 to 25%. The site itself also often takes more work in Geneva: when it targets English-speaking customers and those in neighbouring France, it needs two languages and prices in two currencies. At Voren, the price list is the same in Geneva as in Valais, and two languages are included from the One page.

How much does an online store cost in Geneva?

Of the two Geneva providers that sell a store as a package, one charges from 2,950 francs and the other 4,400 francs, for seven to ten pages. The most detailed Geneva guide counts 8,000 to 30,000 francs for a complete store. The price follows the size of the catalogue, then the way you take payment and deliver: a store that also sells to neighbouring France offers card payment, Apple Pay or Google Pay alongside TWINT, which only pays in francs. At Voren, an online store costs CHF 1,290 to 7,890 depending on the number of products and languages.

What do you pay every year after launch?

Hosting and the domain name, usually CHF 50 to 190 a year in total, paid directly to the provider of your choice and in your name. When an offer includes them for the first year, ask what they cost from the second. Maintenance comes on top if you would rather not handle it yourself: from 95 francs a month at one Geneva provider, and from 190 francs with SEO follow-up. At Voren, it costs CHF 49 to 290 a month depending on the plan, with six months free for every site signed.
