A website in Lausanne costs from 499 francs to more than 15,000 in 2026. An entry-level page and the bespoke site of a high-end agency sit at the two ends of the scale; according to a price guide devoted to the city, updated in September, most Lausanne projects cost between 2,000 and 8,000 francs. On 27 October 2026, we recorded the prices that eight providers display for a website in Lausanne, along with the ranges given by three price guides published this year.
Prices displayed in Lausanne in October 2026
Eight providers that sell websites in Lausanne publish a price online, from the freelancer to the agency based in the city centre. Their names stay out of this survey, which keeps the orders of magnitude.
| What you buy | Prices displayed |
|---|---|
| An entry package: one page or a small site | from 499 to 1,200 francs, at six providers out of eight |
| A landing page | from 790 francs at one agency, 1,800 to 4,500 at another |
| A business website of about five pages | from 1,290 to 6,500 francs |
| A redesign of an existing site | from 4,000 to more than 12,000 francs, at the only agency that displays it |
| An online store | from 3,900 to 5,500 francs as a starting price, at the four providers that display one |
The displayed amount rarely tells the whole story. One adds hosting from launch, 20 to 80 francs a month depending on the site’s technology; a Lausanne freelancer offers maintenance from 299 francs a month. Before comparing two prices, ask what you pay afterwards, and what happens to the site if you stop paying.
The guides take a wider view. The one by a Vaud-based provider, published in February and updated on 3 September, puts most Lausanne projects between 2,000 and 8,000 francs; it counts 1,500 to 5,000 francs for a business website of five to ten pages, and 5,000 to 25,000 for an online store. The one by an agency, published in May and updated on 1 September, sorts the market into four levels, from a site built on a template, starting at 800 francs, to a high-end agency, at 15,000 to more than 40,000 francs.
What makes the price vary in Lausanne
The number of pages, and who writes them. A page that presents your business, with a contact form, goes live in two weeks. Fifteen written pages, with a blog and a Google Business Profile set up, take a month. Copy gets expensive when it sits outside the package: the Vaud provider’s guide counts 150 to 300 francs per page with a professional copywriter, and describes a 1,200-franc quote, without copy or images, that ended at 3,500 francs once the extras were added.
English, for an international clientele. Start-ups from EPFL raise funds and recruit in English, and companies that work with the international sports federations based in Lausanne write to the whole world. Their website is measured against those of foreign competitors: it needs a complete English version from launch, with its own titles and its own keywords, so that Google shows it to people searching in English.
German, to sell in German-speaking Switzerland. A Lausanne SME that also sells in Bern or Zurich needs complete German pages, since those customers search in German. A guide published in April by an agency with a presence in Lausanne counts 20 to 30% more budget for a site that adds German and English to French. Translation alone costs 15 to 25 centimes per word, according to the Vaud provider’s guide.
Booking, for tourism in Lavaux and on the Riviera. A hotel in Montreux or a Lavaux wine estate that offers tastings takes bookings online: the site then has to connect to an availability calendar, and often to a payment. That is an integration, priced in the quote. Part of their clientele comes from German-speaking Switzerland or from abroad, and the languages add to the bill.
The online store. The price depends first on the number of products, then on the payment and delivery methods. A shop in the Flon district that sells thirty items, with TWINT and in-store collection, has different needs from a brand that ships across Europe.
What you pay every year
Two lines come back every year: hosting and the domain name. Entry-level hosting and a .ch domain name usually cost CHF 50 to 190 a year in total, paid directly to the provider of your choice and in your name. The four-level guide counts 200 to 1,200 francs a year for hosting alone: ask what the amount covers before you sign.
Maintenance is optional. You pay it monthly if you would rather not deal with it yourself, 80 to 300 francs according to the same guide, and you compare it on what it covers, from security updates to small content corrections.
One point deserves a check before you sign: the site and the domain name must be in your name. If a subscription carries them, stopping it can make you lose both.
Agency, freelancer or template site
In Lausanne, the price of the same business website depends first on who builds it. The four-level guide gives these benchmarks, and the Vaud provider’s guide adds the day rates:
- A site built on a template: 800 to 2,500 francs, plus the platform subscription, 14 to 49 francs a month. The site goes live quickly and looks like many others.
- A freelancer: 2,500 to 6,000 francs for a business website. A Lausanne freelancer charges 600 to 1,000 francs a day.
- A full-service SME agency: 6,000 to 15,000 francs, for a day rate of 1,200 to 1,800 francs at a Lausanne agency.
- A high-end agency, bespoke work: 15,000 to more than 40,000 francs, for a bank or a major brand.
The Vaud guide cites a Lausanne case: a coach paid a freelancer 3,200 francs for a seven-page business website with a blog, while an agency in the city centre was asking 8,500 for the same brief. The end result looked comparable.
To compare two quotes, ask each provider for the same breakdown: how many pages, who writes the copy, how many languages, whether SEO is included, and who will own the site and the domain name.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Lausanne in 2026?
According to the prices displayed in October 2026 by eight providers that sell websites in Lausanne, an entry package costs from 499 to 1,200 francs, and a business website of about five pages from 1,290 to 6,500 francs. A guide devoted to the city puts most Lausanne projects between 2,000 and 8,000 francs; a high-end agency starts at 15,000 francs. At Voren, a business website costs CHF 590 to 1,490, from one to fifteen pages, in two or three languages.
Do I need an English website in Lausanne?
Often, yes. Start-ups from EPFL and companies that work with the international sports federations address customers and investors who read English first. The English version then needs to be complete, with its own titles and its own keywords, so that Google shows it to people searching in that language. If you also sell in German-speaking Switzerland, German follows: a guide published in April counts 20 to 30% more budget for a trilingual site. At Voren, French and English are included from the One page, a third language with the Essential plan; the fourth moves you to the Premium plan.
How much does a website with online booking cost?
Booking links the site to an availability calendar, and often to an online payment: the rooms of a hotel in Montreux, or the tastings of a Lavaux wine estate. It is an integration: its price depends on the tool already in place and on the number of rooms or time slots to manage. At Voren, it comes under the Bespoke plan, from CHF 3,890, with a price fixed in the quote after a conversation about how you work. A business that already uses a booking platform can start with a business website that links to it.
What do you pay every year after launch?
Hosting and the domain name, usually CHF 50 to 190 a year in total, paid directly to the provider of your choice and in your name. Some Lausanne offers charge more for them: one asks up to 80 francs a month for hosting alone. Maintenance comes on top if you would rather not handle it yourself, 80 to 300 francs a month according to a Lausanne guide. At Voren, it costs CHF 49 to 290 a month depending on the plan, with six months free for every site signed.
Why do quotes vary so much in Lausanne?
Two quotes for the same amount rarely cover the same work, and the provider’s structure weighs heavily: a Vaud guide puts the day rate of a Lausanne agency between 1,200 and 1,800 francs, and that of a freelancer between 600 and 1,000. The same guide cites a seven-page business website with a blog, quoted at 3,200 francs by a freelancer and 8,500 by an agency in the city centre, for a comparable visual result. Ask each one for a page-by-page breakdown, and check who will own the site and the domain name.
