A website in Valais costs from 399 francs to more than 15,000 in 2026. A one-page site built on a template and a bilingual platform with online booking sit at the two ends of the scale, and most SMEs fall somewhere in between. On 26 October 2026, we recorded the prices that eight providers display for a website in Valais, along with the ranges given by two Valais price guides published this year.

Prices displayed in Valais in October 2026

Eight providers that sell websites in Valais publish a price online. Seven sell the site once and for all; the eighth only rents it out by the month. Their names stay out of this survey, which keeps the orders of magnitude.

What you buyPrices displayed
An entry package: one page or a small sitefrom 399 to 1,900 francs, with three offers out of seven at 990 francs
A fuller plan: more pages, SEO, supportfrom 699 to 3,500 francs
A complete SME website, according to an agency in the cantonfrom 2,500 to 6,000 francs
An online storefrom 2,900 francs at the two providers that display a price; others quote it individually
A website rented by the monthfrom 9.90 francs a month

The displayed amount rarely tells the whole story. One adds 219 francs a year for follow-up, another 50 francs a month from the second year, and optional maintenance costs between 49 and 99 francs a month in the offers that price it. Before comparing two prices, ask what you pay afterwards, and who owns the site if the subscription stops.

The guides take a wider view. The most complete one, published in May by a Valais agency and updated on 12 October, counts 3,000 to 10,000 francs for a business website at an established local agency, 5,000 to 15,000 francs for an online store, and 15,000 francs and more at a large Lake Geneva or national agency.

What makes the price vary in Valais

The number of pages, and who writes them. A page that presents your trade, with a contact form, goes live in two weeks. Fifteen written pages, with a blog and a Google Business Profile set up, take a month. The copy weighs heavily: a package that leaves it out leaves you the longest part of the work.

German, as soon as Upper Valais matters. In Visp or Brig, people search for “Treuhand Brig” or “Weinkeller Salgesch”. A site aimed at these customers needs complete German pages, with their own titles and their own keywords, so that Google shows them to people searching in that language. The most complete Valais guide counts 500 to 1,500 francs per added language.

Booking and seasons, for tourism. A chalet rental or a ski school that takes bookings online needs a calendar linked to its availability, and often a payment: that is an integration, priced in the quote. A resort’s website also changes between winter and summer, its opening hours as much as its photos, and a site you update yourself saves you paying for every change.

The online store. The price follows the size of the catalogue, then the way you take payment and deliver. A cellar in Salgesch that sells twenty wines, with TWINT and collection at the cellar door, has different needs from a shop that ships across Switzerland.

Maintenance. A site lives on after launch, with its updates and its backups. Depending on the provider, they come with the subscription or are billed separately: ask which before you sign.

What you pay every year

Two lines come back every year, whatever the provider: hosting and the domain name usually cost CHF 50 to 190 a year in total. You pay them directly to the provider of your choice, in your name.

Maintenance is optional. You pay it monthly if you would rather not deal with it yourself, and you compare it on what it covers, from security updates to small content corrections.

One point deserves a check before you sign: the site and the domain name must be in your name. When a subscription carries them, stopping it can make you lose both.

Agency, freelancer or template site

The price of the same business website depends first on who builds it. The two Valais guides from 2026 give these benchmarks:

  • A student or a beginner: 300 to 800 francs. The low price comes from the absence of structure; ask who will take the site over in two years.
  • A site built on a template: a theme bought for around forty francs is often resold for 2,000 francs, one of the guides notes. The site goes live quickly and looks like hundreds of others.
  • An established local agency: 3,000 to 10,000 francs for a business website, with a team and support before and after launch.
  • A large Lake Geneva or national agency: 15,000 francs and more, for well-known brands and complex projects.

To compare two quotes, ask each provider the same questions: how many pages, who writes the copy, how many languages, whether SEO is included, and who will own the site and the domain name.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost in Valais in 2026?

According to the prices displayed in October 2026 by eight providers that sell websites in the canton, an entry package costs from 399 to 1,900 francs, and a fuller plan from 699 to 3,500 francs. The most complete Valais guide counts 3,000 to 10,000 francs at an established local agency, and 15,000 francs and more at a large agency. At Voren, a business website costs CHF 590 to 1,490, from one to fifteen pages, in two or three languages.

Do I need a German website for Upper Valais?

Yes, as soon as your customers live there or search for your services there. In Visp or Brig, people type their searches in German, and Google first shows pages written in that language. You therefore need complete German pages, with their own titles and their own keywords. The most complete Valais guide counts 500 to 1,500 francs per added language. At Voren, the business website includes two languages from the One page and three with the Essential plan; the fourth moves you to the Premium plan.

How much does a website with online booking cost?

Booking links the site to an availability calendar, and often to an online payment. It is an integration: its price depends on the tool you already use and on the number of chalets, lessons or tables to manage. At Voren, it comes under the Bespoke plan, from CHF 3,890, with a price fixed in the quote after a conversation about how you work. A rental business that already uses a booking platform can start with a business website that links to it.

What do you pay every year after launch?

Hosting and the domain name, usually CHF 50 to 190 a year in total, paid directly to the provider of your choice and in your name. Maintenance comes on top if you would rather not handle it yourself: between 49 and 99 francs a month in the offers recorded in Valais. At Voren, it costs CHF 49 to 290 a month depending on the plan, with six months free for every site signed. Also check that no subscription carries the site itself.

Why do prices vary so much from one provider to another?

Two quotes for the same amount rarely cover the same work. The number of pages, the writing of the copy, the languages, SEO and support after launch make up most of the gap, along with the provider’s structure, which weighs more heavily at a large agency than at a freelancer’s. Ask each one for the same breakdown, page by page, and check who will own the site and the domain name. A low price that leaves out the copy, or that imposes a subscription, often ends up costing more.
